Well, here it is. The ecolabel that lots of people try to use without going through the proper scientific audit....after spending five years researching the Green Tick sustainability certification system, and spending lots of the family's money (and some other people's) getting this up and running at http://www.greentick.com/, I'm still astounded at the number of people who will try to use it:a) without going through the independent 'cradle to grave' audit; and
b) without paying us royalty fees for it!
They seem to think that because the Green Tick is a small company, they can roll us over - but! the pen is mightier than the sword!
We're up to Trademark Defence No. 15 with Bernard Matthews in the UK launching their 'Big Green Tick' campaign in August 2008. Obviously someone forgot to do the trademark checking work, just a 'green tick' search on Google would have done it.....never mind. We've written to Bernard Matthews and got no reply...surprise surprise....we'll leave it to turkey buyers to make up their own minds...after all, Bernard Matthews brought bird flu' to Britain.
